Blast from the past

Profoundly weird to be back here. My old journal was purged a decade or more ago, I can't make a new blog with the same name, but I do have the option of paying $15 to reclaim the name. Wild.

Anyway, if you feel like you want to be Livejournal friends 2.0 - leave a comment. Here's to yet another virtual experiment.

[Edit:] Blog still looks a mess. I'd forgotten how much work went into making these things look pretty. Bear with me while I figure stuff out.

This is what I post for newcomers, which may help you figure out what DW is doing currently:

[community profile] newcomers has lots of resources about how to use Dreamwidth and where to find things you'll enjoy here. If you're coming from Tumblr, [personal profile] soc_puppet has posted tutorials for that angle. Find your Tumblr friends here.

The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests, including some of the Most Useful Communities. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.

This month's big event is [community profile] marchmetamatterschallenge for archiving or writing new meta such as reviews, canon overviews, or fanifestos.

[community profile] dreamcodes or [community profile] dreamwidthlayouts may help.
